Frequently asked questions
Once you select an Optus plan on the Officeworks website, you will be taken to an Optus sign up page. Through this process you will be required to enter the details of your existing Optus account or to set up a new account. Optus Support.
The information you require to set up a new account is:
- An Australian address
- A valid email address
- 100 points of valid ID
- Your most recent telco bill (if you'd like to transfer your existing mobile number to Optus)
Your device credit will be applied in the checkout when you purchase your new device from Officeworks. If you can't see your device credit itemised in the checkout, follow the link in your confirmation email from Officeworks and it will be applied automatically to your new device purchase.
If you place your order before 11:30am, you will have the option of same day delivery for all in-stock items in metropolitan Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth, Sydney and surrounding areas. Please select 'same day' delivery option in the checkout. Larger furniture items will be delivered the next working day.
Orders placed after 11:30am will be delivered next business day in metropolitan Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth, Sydney and surrounding areas. In other regions, orders will be delivered in just a few days. You can use the Calculate Delivery feature in your online shopping cart to give you an estimate on the delivery timeframe.
This offer is available to existing Optus customers - however we ask that you first check your current Optus contract end date. If you are still in contract, there may be charges associated with recontracting earlier (see your Critical Information Summary to confirm).
If you’re no longer in contract you can recontract by following the process and entering in your current service details.
Your Optus SIM plan is a fixed term contract (either 12 or 24 months). Depending on your reason for cancelling, early termination charges may apply. Please refer to the terms of your Optus contract or contact Optus for further information. Optus Support
If you are new to Optus you will be provided a new Optus SIM card. The SIM card issued will be compatible with your purchased device.
If you are a recontracting Optus customer, you can use your existing SIM or change to an esim. This can be requested as part of the Optus set up process. If your current SIM is not compatible with your purchased device, we will send you a new SIM.
A confirmation email with a unique code will be sent to the email address linked to your Officeworks account. Please make sure that your email address is correct.
Also check your spam to see if the email is there, if it is not there, contact the Officeworks CSC and provide the following information:
- first name
- last name
- Optus order reference / Officeworks Order
If you have checked the status of your order from the "Track your order" page and it has passed the expected delivery date, please contact the Customer Service Centre on 1300 633 423.
No, you don’t need to return your device as it has been purchased outright from Officeworks and you have paid for it in full.
Your Optus plan is a separate contract with Optus, and the cancelling for the service is managed by Optus.
